Job summary

Qualifications

• Prior experience in working with students.
• Bilingual preferred (Spanish, Russian, Chinese, Vietnamese, Arabic, Somali).
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents and staff.
• Familiarity with classroom practices and school operations.
• Ability to complete specialized trainings and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher in instruction and support of students at varying levels of need.
• Instruct students in groups or individually.
• Monitor and document the progress of students.
• Provide input to lesson planning and evaluating results.
• Assist with grading papers and preparing teaching materials.
• Provide for students' personal care needs when needed.
• Supervise students in classrooms and on campus.
• Interact respectfully with diverse cultures and backgrounds.
