The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 48 college units, with preference for experience with teens and fluency in Spanish or another language. Health benefits are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years college (48 semester units).
• Experience working with teenagers preferred.
• Ability to speak and write fluently in Spanish or another language.
• Ability to type and operate basic office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Support Emergent Multilingual Learners to master grade-level content.
• Provide in-the-moment support to fill background knowledge gaps and build academic habits.
• Assist students with reading, writing, math and computer programs.
• Translate oral or written English into students' primary language as needed.
• Help orient new students about policies, supports, and activities.
• Refer students to support services as needed.
