• Graduation from high school or GED and some experience with children in learning or organized settings.
• ESSA requirements must be met.
• One of: 48 units, associate’s degree, or passing a formal assessment demonstrating knowledge to assist in reading, writing, and mathematics.

Responsibilities

• Assist a certificated teacher in reinforcing instruction to individual or small groups of students in English and a designated second language.
• Serve as an interpreter for meetings, workshops, conferences and special events for personnel, parents and students.
• Tutor individual or small groups of students; assist in preparation of instructional materials and lesson plans; proctor and administer tests; provide routine clerical support.
