Now Hiring: Bilingual Spanish-Speaking Paraprofessional (1:1 Support)

Location: Belmont, Massachusetts
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: End of School Year
Schedule: Full-Time | Approximately 35 Hours per Week
School Assignment: 1 School

Position Overview

Seeking a compassionate and dedicated Bilingual Spanish-Speaking Paraprofessional to provide 1:1 support for a 4th-grade student. This role is critical in supporting the student's communication, safety, social interactions, and overall educational experience throughout the school day.

The ideal candidate will be fluent in both Spanish and English and have a passion for helping students succeed both academically and socially.

Student Support Details
  • Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a 4th-grade student.
  • Assist the student throughout the entire school day, including:
    • Classroom activities
    • Lunch and recess
    • Transitions between activities
    • Non-academic settings
  • Meet the student at morning bus arrival and support them until afternoon dismissal.
  • Help facilitate communication between the student, peers, teachers, and school staff.
  • Support the student's well-being, safety, and access to learning opportunities.
Student Profile
  • Student primarily communicates in Spanish.
  • Limited English proficiency.
  • Currently communicates using single words and approximated sounds.
  • Not literate in any language at this time.
  • Uses a variety of communication strategies to express needs and ideas.
  • Strong Spanish language skills are essential to help understand and support the student's communication patterns.
