Job summary

Clarvida in California is seeking a Bilingual Spanish Peer Support Specialist to provide recovery-oriented, community-based support. You will mentor clients, advocate for needs, and collaborate with the treatment team to promote self-determination and improved outcomes.

This full-time, on-site role requires a Peer Specialist Certificate, Spanish fluency, a valid CA driver’s license, and the ability to navigate resources.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Peer Specialist Certificate required.
• Bilingual in Spanish required.
• Valid California driver’s license and active auto insurance.
• Lived experience as a consumer of mental health services or as a support person.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide mentoring, encouragement, and peer support to consumers.
• Assist clients in developing daily living skills and accessing resources.
• Transport clients to activities (personal vehicle required).
• Provide advocacy, coordination, and side-by-side support.
• Help clients in problem-solving and pursuing recovery goals.
• Coordinate and facilitate social and group activities.
• Collaborate with team to support treatment goals using lived experience.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant documentation.
• Adhere to HIPAA, ethics, and professional boundaries.
• Participate in program activities and perform duties as assigned.
