Job summary

Clarvida is seeking a Bilingual Spanish Peer Support Specialist to provide recovery-oriented support in California. You will mentor clients, advocate for services, and collaborate with the treatment team to improve outcomes, using your lived experience to build trust and empower self-determination.

This on-site role requires Spanish fluency, a valid CA driver’s license, and strong communication skills. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and a Peer Specialist certificate.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; bachelor’s preferred.
• Peer Specialist Certificate required
• Lived experience as a consumer of mental health services or as a support person
• Bilingual in Spanish required
• Valid California driver’s license and active auto insurance
• Prior behavioral health experience preferred
• Knowledge of community resources and peer support practices
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Ability to effectively prioritize and manage time
• Basic to intermediate computer proficiency

Responsibilities

• Provide mentoring, encouragement, and peer support to consumers in community and program settings
• Assist clients in developing daily living skills and accessing resources
• Transport clients as needed to support community engagement (personal vehicle required)
• Provide advocacy, coordination, and individualized side-by-side support
• Support clients in problem-solving and recovery goals
• Coordinate and facilitate social and group activities as assigned
• Collaborate with team to support treatment goals using lived experience
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with company and regulatory standards
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and professional boundaries
• Participate in program activities and perform additional duties
