Job summary

Clarvida in California is seeking a Bilingual Spanish Peer Support Specialist to provide recovery-oriented support to consumers using lived experience to foster trust and self-determination. You will mentor clients, help develop daily living skills, coordinate with the treatment team, and maintain HIPAA-compliant documentation while promoting diversity and inclusion.

This full-time role requires a high school diploma or GED, a Peer Specialist Certificate, Spanish fluency, and a CA driver's

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Peer Specialist Certificate required.
• Lived experience as a consumer of mental health services or as a support person.
• Bilingual in Spanish required.
• Valid California driver’s license and active auto insurance.
• Prior behavioral health experience preferred.
• Knowledge of community resources and peer support practices.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and manage time.
• Basic to intermediate computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide mentoring, encouragement, and peer support to consumers in community and program settings.
• Assist clients in developing daily living skills and accessing essential resources.
• Transport clients as needed to support community engagement (use of personal vehicle required).
• Provide advocacy, coordination, and individualized side-by-side support.
• Support clients in problem-solving and achieving personal recovery goals.
• Coordinate and facilitate social and group activities as assigned.
• Collaborate with team members to support treatment goals and provide insight from lived experience.
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, ethical standards, and professional boundaries.
• Participate in program activities and perform additional duties as assigned.
