Job summary

Children’s Wisconsin is hiring a Spanish-speaking Interpreter I (Part-Time) to facilitate communication between clinicians and patients in Milwaukee and surrounding areas. The role involves interpretation in medical settings, sight translation of documents, and collaboration with staff to ensure accurate, culturally competent care.

Requirements include completion of a Medical Interpreting course or enrollment with completion within 6 months, HS diploma, and bilingual proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bilingual Spanish/English with ability to break linguistic barriers between patients and staff.
• Excellent listening and communication skills in clinical settings.
• Ability to shift between languages in simultaneous and consecutive modes.
• National certification must be maintained.

Responsibilities
