Job summary

Language Services Associates is seeking Spanish interpreters to support LEP communities in the Richmond, VA area. As an independently contracted interpreter, you will facilitate language access across multiple settings and assignments, reporting on-site for each engagement.

Ideal candidates are fully bilingual in English and Spanish, with a strong focus on client service and confidentiality. Prior interpreting experience is preferred, and industry certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Full fluency in both English and Spanish
• The ability to provide a high level of client service
• 1+ year of professional interpreting experience preferred
• Industry specific certifications/trainings preferred (CMI, CCHI, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service
• Adhere to Code of Professional Conduct, including maintaining strict standards of confidentiality
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including professional interpretation protocols and industry specific best practices
• Adhere to clearance requirements as requested by clients
• Report on site to any accepted assignments in a timely manner
• Access to personal or public transport
