Alivio Medical Center is seeking a Benefits Enrollment Counselor to support outreach, enrollment and service activities under a Greater Chicago Food Depository grant. This full-time role focuses on SNAP and public benefit programs in the Chicago area, working with community partners to educate residents and assist with applications.

The ideal candidate will be bilingual in English and Spanish, have strong communication and interpersonal skills, and be comfortable with Windows-based systems;

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in outreach or social services programming.
• Two years experience working in the Latino community.
• Excellent written and oral communication in English and Spanish; interpersonal skills.

Mansioni

• Reaches out to community stakeholders to provide information about the Enrollment Partnership with GCFD.
• Works with community partners to provide educational, enrollment activities in local venues.
• Assist community members with completion of applications for SNAP and other public benefit programs.
• Provides follow-up assistance including benefit explanations, post-enrollment assistance and redetermination services.
• Develops and maintains relationships with local organizations to improve program access.
