Medavie is seeking a Senior Disability Claims Consultant to provide coaching strategies designed to increase individual and organizational productivity. You will develop opportunities that enhance knowledge, develop skills, and enrich disability claims specialists and consultants.

In this role, coaching interventions focus on short- and long-term disability case management, monitoring critical components of the lifecycle, and collaborating with members, employers, and healthcare providers to

Qualifications

• University degree or college diploma in a relevant discipline.
• At least 5 years’ experience in disability case management with another insurer or government agency.
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills to review and correct letters to claimants, providers, and lawyers.
• Knowledge of contract wording; ability to analyze disability management trend reports and medical information.
• Background in training or coaching to communicate complex concepts clearly.

Responsabilités

• Coach and develop disability claim specialists and consultants.
• Increase and monitor quality of case management according to the active case management protocol.
• Build effective relationships to support development and engagement of employees.
• Review and correct Disability management files and reports.
• Manage action plan and decision (or provide recommendation) on highly complex disability claims.
