Job summary

The Bachrach Group partners with a leading chemical manufacturer to recruit a Senior Accountant in Houston, TX. This role owns critical general ledger processes, monthly and year-end close, and financial reporting for two LatAm sites.

The ideal candidate has at least 6 years of general ledger/full-cycle accounting experience in manufacturing or related industries, a bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, and bilingual English/Spanish.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years in general ledger and month-end close.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Experience with ERP systems; Oracle preferred.
• Knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Own general ledger activities and ensure accurate recording.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and close schedules.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports (income statement, balance sheet).
• Provide insights on trends, variances, and performance.
• Ensure GAAP/IFRS compliance and internal controls.
