Legacy Community Health seeks a bilingual Medical Assistant to support school-based health services in Houston. You will help register students, manage records, and assist clinicians in a fast-paced clinic setting.

The role requires BLS/CPR certification, completion of a Medical Assisting program (preferred), and strong communication with diverse families. Training and mentorship are offered in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED.
• Some medical knowledge.
• Completion of Medical Assisting program (preferred).
• MA certification preferred; maintain BLS/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and create patient accounts and records in EMR.
• Verify and update demographic/insurance information.
• Review provider schedules; keep records current.
• Screen financial and demographic information; refer to eligibility coordinators.
• Assist nurse practitioners with triage, vitals, education.
• Document all patient care and contact promptly.
