Job summary

Erie Neighborhood House seeks a School-Age Educator to support a 5–12 year old program under the supervision of the Site Director. The role runs 5 hours daily on school days and 8 hours daily during summer or school breaks, contingent on funding.

The educator will help plan and implement curriculum, observe and document child progress, and build positive relationships with parents, staff, and children. Strong organizational and teamwork skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Requires college coursework in child development or related field with specified hours.
• Bicultural/Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Eligibility to work in the U.S.
• Demonstrates self-motivation, reliability and good judgment.

Responsibilities

• Implement program activities for children ages 5–12 under Site Director supervision.
• Participate in bi-weekly curriculum planning and weekly staffing to tailor daily activities.
• Document individual needs and biannual evaluations for each child (SAYO).
• Maintain health and safety standards and complete required records.
• Attend staff meetings, trainings, and parent conferences.
