R.R. Cassidy is seeking a bilingual Safety Representative to promote and enforce a strong safety culture across construction, utility, and electrical job sites.

This role monitors field operations for OSHA and company safety standards, identifies hazards, and leads safety communications with crews. Journeyman electrician or equivalent hands‑on electrical trade experience (2–4 years preferred) is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Journeyman electrician, electrical apprentice, lineman, or equivalent hands‑on electrical trade experience (2–4 years preferred).
• Working knowledge of electrical hazards, energized/de-energized work practices, grounding, and PPE requirements.
• OSHA 30‑Hour Construction certification.
• Strong verbal and written communication with field crews about safety practices.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to travel to multiple job sites and work outdoors in varying weather.
• Must be bilingual (English/Spanish).

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular job site safety inspections and audits, documenting findings and corrective actions.
• Observe crew work practices around electrical hazards to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Verify proper use of LOTO, PPE, and rubber goods during electrical work.
• Lead or support daily job briefings, toolbox talks, and pre‑job hazard assessments.
• Investigate incidents and near‑misses; determine root cause and preventive actions.
• Maintain safety records, OSHA logs, training docs, and inspection reports.
• Partner with project leaders to resolve safety concerns without delaying schedules.
• Deliver or coordinate safety training, including new‑hire orientation and electrical safe work practices.
• Stop work when imminent danger is identified and escalate appropriately.
• Support emergency response planning and act as on‑site first aid resource as needed.
• Stay current on OSHA, NFPA 70E, NESC, DOT regulations and communicate updates.
