Job summary

Satterfield and Pontikes Construction, Inc. is seeking a Safety Manager to foster a proactive safety culture across our DFW projects. You will support safety programs, lead audits, and guide teams to prevent injuries while ensuring regulatory compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in health and safety or related field, 3+ years as a Safety Manager, and bilingual English/Spanish. We offer a vehicle allowance, gas card, annual bonuses, family benefits, and 401k.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in health and safety, Safety Engineering, Environmental Health, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience as a Safety Manager.
• Bilingual English/Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive site reviews and inspections to ensure adherence to OSHA standards and other regulatory requirements.
• Perform audits, review pre-task plans and permits, and ensure proper execution of safety programs on active job sites.
• Provide technical guidance and support to project managers and superintendents regarding safety-related concerns and documentation.
• Verify that all preliminary safety documentation is complete and submitted before project work begins.
• Lead and present safety meetings to reinforce safe practices and communicate updates to teams.
• Evaluate safety plans, certifications, and licenses submitted by trade partners for completeness and compliance.
• Ensure the onsite safety program remains current, effective, and aligned with industry standards and evolving regulations.
• Maintain accurate safety records and coordinate communications between clients and internal teams.
• Conduct and review incident and accident investigations, ensuring thorough documentation and sharing of lessons learned.
