Job summary

Sheakley Workforce Staffing seeks a Bilingual Construction Safety Manager to oversee safety for a large-scale drywall/interior systems project in Port Washington, WI. This 8-month contract role requires hands-on field leadership on a 140-person craft team.

You will conduct inspections, enforce OSHA standards, review JHAs/AHAs, and coordinate with management and subs, communicating safety expectations in both Spanish and English.

Qualifications

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English required.
  • OSHA 30 Construction Certification required.
  • Minimum 3+ years of construction safety experience.
  • Strong ability to communicate safety expectations with bilingual craft personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily field safety oversight for drywall and interior systems construction activities.
  • Maintain a highly visible presence throughout active work areas.
  • Support a workforce of approximately 140 craft employees and supervisors.
  • Conduct routine site inspections, audits, observations, and hazard assessments.
  • Monitor framing, drywall installation, material handling operations, and elevated work activities.
  • Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHA), Activity Hazard Analyses (AHA), permits, and pre-task plans.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project-specific safety requirements.
  • Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate timely corrective actions.
  • Provide field coaching and reinforce safe work practices with craft personnel.
  • Coordinate safety activities with project management, supervision, and subcontractors.
  • Participate in incident investigations and corrective action implementation.
  • Maintain required safety documentation, inspection records, and compliance reports.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project.

Bilingual Construction Safety Manager

Location: Port Washington, WI
Duration: 8 Months (Start: 9/16)
Type: 1099 Contractor

Compensation & Schedule

Pay Rate: $45.50/hr
Per Diem: $125/Day (7 Days Per Week)
Completion Bonus: $150/month
Pay Frequency: Weekly
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 40 Hours Per Week
Additional Schedule Details: Overtime opportunities are expected as the project ramps up. Candidates should be comfortable supporting increased manpower and evolving project demands.
