Job summary

Sheakley Workforce Staffing seeks a Construction Safety Manager for a 7-8 month Tampa, FL project. This 1099 contractor role pays $50/hr with a weekly pay cycle and a $150 monthly completion bonus. Expect 50-hour weeks, Monday–Friday, with possible Saturdays.

Manage field safety for concrete work on a major airport construction site and ensure compliance with safety policies. Role requires OSHA 30 Construction Certification, bilingual English/Spanish, and at least 2 years of construction safety

What You'll Be Doing

• Provide daily field safety oversight for concrete construction operations
• Maintain a highly visible presence throughout active work areas
• Complete and maintain daily employee sign-in documentation
• Develop, review, and administer daily Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs)
• Conduct daily scaffold inspections and monitor scaffold use
• Monitor concrete placement, formwork, reinforcing steel, and related activities
• Conduct routine site inspections, audits, observations, and hazard assessments
• Monitor fall protection and elevated work activities
• Ensure workers comply with project‑specific safety policies and procedures
• Identify unsafe conditions and behaviors and coordinate immediate corrective actions
• Review JHAs/AHAs, permits, and pre-task plans
• Provide field coaching and reinforce safe work practices with craft personnel
• Coordinate safety activities with project supervision and field leadership
• Participate in incident investigations and corrective action implementation
• Maintain required safety documentation, inspection records, and compliance reports
