Job summary

Kent Companies is seeking a Safety Coordinator in Oklahoma City to promote an Incident Free Environment. You will coordinate safety rules, lead toolbox talks, and supervise safety across offices and field teams in a national data center and advanced manufacturing division.

The role involves travel, rigorous safety program updates, incident investigations, PPE management, and compliance with site safety plans. A relevant degree and multiple OSHA certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or associate's degree in environmental safety & health or 3–5 years of relevant construction safety experience.
• OSHA 500, CSMC, or Construction Safety Site Technician Certification, or equivalent safety certification
• OSHA 510 certification is preferred
• Valid driver’s license; reliable transportation to job locations; ability to pass background check and drug screening

Responsibilities

• Monitor and update safety rules and SOPs; convey changes to field and safety team.
• Lead and participate in safety events, stand-downs, and trainings as required.
• Review accident, injury, and near-miss investigations and verify corrective actions.
• Implement Toolbox Talks program; develop site-specific talks for recent incidents.
• Perform and document job site inspections and safety hazard summaries; distribute reports to project team.
• Support workers' compensation/auto accident/ property damage claims on sites.
• Execute PPE program and ensure training is completed on time; schedule retraining and renewals as needed.
• Enforce Site Specific Safety Plans; conduct site meetings to convey hazards and procedures.
