Job summary

Kent Companies is seeking a Safety Coordinator to promote a culture of incident-free safety across the National Data Center & Advanced Manufacturing division. You will collaborate with Superintendents, Project Management, and field teams to implement safety programs and ensure hazards are addressed.

Responsibilities include updating SOPs, leading safety events, investigating incidents, conducting site audits, and coordinating training while managing PPE and Return-to-Work processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in environmental safety & health.
• OSHA 500, CSMC, or Construction Safety Site Technician Certification, or equivalent safety certification.
• OSHA 510.
• Valid driver's license.
• Reliable transportation to workplace locations.
• Ability to pass background check related to driving and drug screening.
• Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and update safety rules and SOPs; convey changes to field and safety team.
• Lead, participate in safety events, stand-downs, and training; attend safety meetings.
• Review accident and near-miss investigations; ensure underlying hazards were addressed.
• Implement Toolbox Talks program and identify needs for custom topics.
• Perform and document job site inspections/audits with written hazard summaries.
• Support workers' compensation/auto/property damage claims on site; investigate incidents.
• Oversee PPE program and ensure mandatory training is completed and documented.
• Enforce Site Specific Safety Plans and conduct pre-job hazard briefings.
• Serve as a resource for Kent's field safety officers and project teams.
