Job summary

Kent Companies is seeking a Safety Coordinator to promote safety culture across the company. The role supports field teams, operations managers, and superintendents to implement safety programs and ensure incidents are properly addressed.

The coordinator will lead safety events, conduct inspections, manage PPE programs, and coordinate with safety managers to ensure compliance and timely retraining. A strong focus on return-to-work and drug screening is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in environmental safety & health or equivalent.
• OSHA 500, CSMC, or Construction Safety Site Technician certification or equivalent safety cert.
• Valid driver’s license required; reliable transportation to job sites.
• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future.
• Ability to pass background checks and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and update safety rules and SOPs; relay changes to field and safety team.
• Lead safety events, stand-downs, and training; participate in safety meetings.
• Review investigations and verify corrective actions were implemented.
• Implement Toolbox Talks addressing recent incidents or hazards.
• Perform site inspections/audits and document hazards and abatement steps.
