Job summary

Texas Education Agency seeks an Open Education Resource (OER) team member to lead the Bilingual Reading Language Arts content development and review. The role focuses on Spanish and English HQIM, aligned to TEKS and state statutes, with collaboration across publishers and educators.

The candidate will demonstrate expertise in policy interpretation, stakeholder engagement, and content quality assurance while supporting statewide initiatives and ensuring classroom-ready materials.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of experience in teaching, curriculum and assessment, instructional coaching, or related roles.
• Advanced degree may substitute for two years of required experience
• Knowledge of TEKS, TEC/TAC and open educational resources (OER) is preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversee HQIM vision, development and reviews for Reading Language Arts in Spanish and English.
• Communicate and support the state HQIM vision to classrooms, schools and districts.
• Plan and facilitate content reviews with Texas educators for continuous improvement.
• Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive adoption of HQIM and OER resources.
• Support TEA operations to align initiatives and reduce instructional barriers for teachers.
