Job summary

Bethany Christian Services is seeking a Residential Youth Specialist for a part-time 3rd shift role on weekends in Grand Rapids, MI. You will support refugee and immigrant children, assist with family reunification, and aid foster families in providing a safe home environment.

Requirements include a High School Diploma, at least one year of child welfare experience, and bilingual English/Spanish. Candidates must be reliable, able to work nights and weekends, and maintain strict confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of one year of child welfare experience working with children/adolescents.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish required.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily routines and activities, ensuring safety and engagement.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in treatment planning as needed.
• Demonstrate compassionate, confidential support to residents and families.
• Adhere to treatment guidelines and nonviolent crisis prevention procedures when necessary.
• Maintain flexibility to cover night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
