Job summary

Boys Town seeks a part-time Spanish-English bilingual research assistant to support language development research and identification of developmental language disorder. Responsibilities include data management, language/literacy assessments in Spanish and English in school contexts, transcription, quality checks, and lab administration.

Proficiency in both languages and comfort working with children and families is required; preference given to candidates with research, child language

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• At least one year of college coursework or equivalent experience.
• Bilingual skills may be required depending on assignment.
• CITI certification within 30 days of transfer or hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days in Cognitive Neuroscience dept.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of stimuli and development of test procedures.
• Assist in data collection, processing and procedure support in studies.
• Ensure safety procedures and maintain documentation for lab conditions and results.
• Adhere to lab safety standards and maintain test records.
• Calibrate, maintain and clean laboratory equipment and workspace.
• Assist in data collection, analysis and reporting findings to investigators.
• Support recruitment, scheduling, and testing with human subjects when applicable.
• Utilize computers to analyze and plot experimental results.
