We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to join the Clara City, MN team. The shift for this position is Nights. Starting wage is $20.00 - $26.00 per hour, based on experience, plus a $1.00 per hour USD shift differential.

The Quality Technician is responsible for performing departmental analytical and clerical work in support of the plant's quality functions. This includes conducting lab tests, preparing samples for shipment, and responding to internal calls.

Ideal candidates will have 1–2 years of prior laboratory experience, preferably in a food-grade manufacturing facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Conduct quality checks online and communicate results to production.
2. Document results, audits, and test results accurately.
3. Aid in the communication and training of plant policies and programs.
4. Conduct and interpret lab tests.
5. Package and prepare samples for shipment to third-party testing locations.
6. Respond to internal calls to answer technical product questions.
7. Perform laboratory computations leading to accurate data reporting.
8. Troubleshoot lab issues.
9. Conduct routine maintenance on all lab equipment.
10. Contact lab supply vendors.
11. Assist inventory control processes.
12. Ensure all laboratory chemical SDS/MSDS are reviewed and filed.
13. Read and interpret documents such as lab results, GMP manuals, HACCP programs, and procedure manuals.
14. Solve practical problems and handle high-pressure situations.
15. Interpret instructions furnished in written and oral forms.
16. Complete routine clerical work such as filing, checking, and data entry.
17. Follow plant and laboratory GMPs to maintain a clean work area.
18. Advise operations staff to ensure GMP compliance.
19. Perform environmental and product testing, communicating results to management as needed.
20. Send timely "Out of Specification" (OOS) notices to internal and corporate management.
