Job summary

Las Vegas Valley Water District is seeking a Public Outreach Specialist to support Hispanic and general market marketing, media relations, and community outreach initiatives. The role focuses on content development, translation services, and engaging with diverse stakeholders across Spanish-language channels.

The ideal candidate will coordinate campaigns with internal teams and consultants, manage multiple projects, and ensure high-quality written and verbal communications.

Responsibilities

• Participates in planning, coordinating and implementing logistical arrangements for programs, events, and meetings; coordinates with partners, vendors and sponsors; manages event staffing and budgets; ensures compliance with permits and internal standards.
• Represents the organization at events and in the community; answers questions, provides information on programs, and builds partnerships.
• Develops outreach campaigns and materials for Spanish-language and general-audience communications; coordinates translation and content development; supports campaign implementation and engagement.
• Assists with drafting and distribution of communications to targeted stakeholders.
• Develops sponsorship packages and participates in industry and community meetings.
