The District is seeking a qualified individual who will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing the District’s public information, engagement, and water conservation programs. This role manages communications strategies to engage the community, promote District initiatives, and support internal and external messaging. This position is responsible for developing and implementing water conservation education and outreach programs, including demonstrations, incentives, and partnerships with local organizations. The position also coordinates special events, produces informational materials, and serves as the primary media contact to ensure consistent, accurate, and timely information is shared with the public.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in business, public administration, communication, marketing, environmental studies, watershedscience or related field is required.
Three (3) or more years of progressively responsible experience in the capacity of a Public Communications Coordinator or Outreach/Public Engagement Coordinator, Water Conservation Coordinator or equivalent job classification performing community outreach, public relations, or water conservation is required.
