Job summary

Discovery Education is seeking a Professional Learning Specialist to create and deliver engaging professional learning experiences for K-12 educators, coaches, and administrators. You will support the implementation of Discovery Education products and instructional practices across various delivery formats.

The role emphasizes content design, facilitation, coaching, and consultation, with flexibility to blend responsibilities based on customer needs and business priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years teaching or relevant K-12 education experience.
• At least 2 years designing and/or delivering professional learning for K-12 educators.
• Knowledge of adult learning theory and evidence-based professional learning.
• Experience creating professional learning content and facilitating in virtual and in-person environments.
• Experience coaching educators or supporting instructional implementation.
• Ability to travel; overnight travel may be required.
• Legal right to work in the United States; valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging professional learning in virtual and in-person settings.
• Support educators in translating learning into instructional practice.
• Adapt content and delivery based on participant and partner needs.
• Design and maintain professional learning resources across formats.
• Use feedback and data to improve offerings and inform new ones.
• Provide coaching and consultation to support instructional practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support partner outcomes.
• Coordinate learning engagements and track implementation progress.
