Job summary

Our client in Farmingdale, NJ is seeking a Production Manager to oversee day-to-day production, receiving, blending, bagging, and warehouse operations at the primary facility. You will lead a team including an Assistant Production Manager, line leads, and hourly staff while aligning with the Operations Director on performance, quality, safety, and workforce management.

Qualifications

• Experience in production environments involving blending, mixing, and packaged products required.
• 5+ years of leadership experience in production, packaging, or warehouse operations required.
• Experience managing leads, and hourly employees required.
• Demonstrated willingness and ability to lead from the floor required.
• Hands-on experience with packaging line operations and equipment required.
• Fluency in English and Spanish required.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily production, blending, packaging, receiving, and warehouse operations
• Direct, coach, and develop Assistant Production Manager and line leads
• Build and manage production schedules based on demand, inventory, and seasonal needs
• Oversee receiving, lot verification, sampling, traceability, storage, and FIFO rotation
• Manage packaging operations, including bagging, baling, stacking, palletizing, and load quality
• Maintain inventory accuracy and oversee cycle counts, replenishment, staging, and shipping
• Monitor production performance, uptime, scrap, rework, labor efficiency, and other KPIs
• Enforce quality standards, corrective actions, and production hold procedures
• Coordinate with Maintenance to address equipment issues and improve uptime
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, safety, quality, and environmental requirements
• Manage seasonal staffing, training, scheduling, and employee performance
• Support and evaluate satellite warehouse operations and share best practices
• Serve as the operational liaison with key suppliers
• Drive continuous improvement across operations
