Bilingual English/Spanish Production Manager

Reports to: General Manager Job Status: Full-Time / Salary

Position Summary: The PM is responsible for supervising all phases of the homebuilding process, working directly with the Design and Operations Teams.

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Ability to lead large groups of people and focus on developing a culture of accountability

working as a team.

  • Strict adherence and compliance with quality assurance requirements to include HUD

building codes.

  • Be safety minded and ability to put Safety 1st – must adhere to strict safety rules and
  • Guidelines.
  • Reviewing production performance and identifying training opportunities of production personnel as necessary.
  • Direct teams effectively in each department to ensure timelines and production priorities are met.
  • Provide sound leadership, coaching, mentoring, and direction for personnel development and employee engagement.
  • Improve production processes for the purpose of improving overall quality, reducing lead-times, and lowering costs of operations by utilizing Lean Manufacturing methods, 6S, Kaizen, Six Sigma, Total Quality Management, etc. applications where necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year accredited college
  • Minimum 7 years relevant management experience
  • Previous construction experience strongly preferred
  • Experience in manufactured housing is greatly desired
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills at all levels
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, as well as basic math skills
  • Must be detail-oriented and can multi-task effectively
  • Ability to read and understand home building specifications greatly desired
  • Demonstrated adherence to safety protocols
  • Ability to adapt quickly and make sound decisions in a changing, fast-paced work environment
  • Must be fluent in English/Spanish

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Work may require stooping, bending, crouching, crawling, pushing, and / or pulling.
  • Must be able to communicate with others via phone, email, and in person. Must be able to exchange accurate information with others.
  • Work environment is not temperature controlled and may result in exposure to extreme temperatures.
  • Work primarily involves sitting / standing, up to 4 hours at a time.

Travel Requirements:

Minimal travel will be required to occasionally travel to other locations for training and development and to participate on home office conferences and events.
