Job summary

MAOF seeks a Teacher Assistant for its Child Care/Pre-School program in Arvin, CA. The role assists in instruction and care of children, following lesson plans, and supports teachers with materials, supervision, and documentation of development.

Requires six semester units in ECE/Child Development, one year of preschool experience, and bilingual English/Spanish. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with a focus on safety and developmental progress.

Qualifications

• Minimum six (6) semester units in Early Childhood Education/Child Development.
• Minimum one (1) year experience with preschool children.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in instruction and groups of children following lesson plans.
• Prepare materials, supervise play, and assist with meals and nap routine.
• Maintain a learning environment that supports social, cognitive, physical, and emotional development.
• Ensure children's safety and proper supervision at all times.
• Document attendance and progress observations for teacher review.
• Assist in classroom setup, cleanup, and maintaining orderly environment.
