Job summary

Chicanos Por La Causa, Inc. (CPLC) through its HELPNM subsidiary seeks a dedicated individual to manage and support center food services for children and families.

The role involves preparing and serving meals, maintaining records, and ensuring sanitary, compliant operations aligned with USDA guidelines. Responsibilities include supervising children, promoting school readiness, and upholding health and safety standards across indoor and outdoor environments.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• 6 months cooking experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance.
• TB test or Chest X-ray.
• NM ECECD Background Clearance.
• First Aid/CPR certified or obtain within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Implement the Center's food services, including meal preparation, service, receiving and storing food, kitchen sanitation, and inventory records.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including USDA guidelines for Food Services.
• Promote school readiness by preparing children and families for school and life success in relation to this position.
• Actively supervise children by sight and sound at all times and in all environments.
• Maintain health and safety regulations to create an optimum learning environment.
