Job summary

Mexican American Opportunity Foundation is seeking a Homemaker to plan and prepare meals for children within the Child Care/Preschool program. This non-exempt, temporary role includes food preparation, production records, inventory management, and ensuring a clean, sanitary kitchen.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and bilingual Spanish/English communication. You will work a standard Monday–Friday schedule with opportunities for staff meetings and trainings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bi-lingual Spanish/English required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work Monday through Friday.
• Proficient reading, writing and math skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepares meals for children daily.
• Prepares snacks for children daily.
• Takes temperatures of food and monitors safety.
• Assists in serving lunch to children.
• Maintains kitchen inventory and records.
• Keeps kitchen clean and sanitary and follows health procedures.
