Job summary

The University of Chicago Behavioral Insights and Parenting (BIP Lab) is seeking part-time/test administrators to conduct language assessments with pre-K and kindergarten children in English and Spanish across Coachella Valley, CA. Training will occur in Chicago before fieldwork begins in Oct 2026, with compensation for travel.

Positions run Oct 2026 to Jun 2027, with fixed full-time assessment periods and part-time data tasks in between.

Qualifications

• Fluent reading, writing and speaking in English and Spanish.
• Experience with language assessments in educational settings is preferred.
• Ability to travel to multiple sites in Coachella Valley.

Responsibilities

• Participate in training on Woodcock Johnson IV subtests and language assessments.
• Travel to partner schools in Coachella Valley to administer assessments to pre-K and kindergarten children.
• Score assessments and prepare materials per protocol.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow IRB and district requirements.
• Coordinate assessment schedules with BIP Lab staff.
• Support data management and other research tasks during off-peak periods.
