Job summary

Bakersfield City School District seeks a Language Assessor to provide language proficiency assessment information, score tests, and maintain records. Qualifications

• Fluently speak, read and write English and Spanish.
• Ability to respect confidential matters.
• Ability and willingness to follow oral and written directions.
• Ability to work with adults and children in a personable manner.
• Possession of valid driver's license and car for use on district business.
• Must pass required tests.

Responsibilities

• Administers and scores language assessment tests.
• Records test information into student information system.
• Arranges for testing of students through school-site staff.
• Provides support for immigrant families.
• Coordinates with special education department regarding translation for reclassification meetings.
• Maintains and updates foreign language list monthly.
• Assists with Rosetta Stone language program for immigrant families.
• Coordinates with the Family and Community Engagement department (FACE) to stay updated with services for families.
• Models personal and professional values of equity, integrity, caring, collaboration, and personal and collective accountability.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
