Qualifications

• Operate a computer, office machines, telephone and other technology equipment.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organization skills.
• Skills to perform instructional activities, communicate with parents, students, staff and community, basic arithmetic calculations.
• Use English in verbal and written form, correct grammar, punctuation and spelling, and perform basic clerical functions.

Responsibilities

• Assists licensed staff for instructing students individually and in small groups, by implementing lesson plans and activities.
• Monitors students and classroom/playground for safe, positive learning environments.
• Provides personal care and assistance to students for access to education (toileting, hygiene, feeding, mobility).
• Maintains classroom equipment, student files, records, etc.
• Performs limited clerical tasks related to instructional assignment (materials prep, communication with parents).
