Job summary

HAVERHILL PUBLIC SCHOOLS seeks Educational Support Personnel for Moody Pre-School. The role supports classroom activities under a certified teacher, aligned to student IEPs, and reinforces learning with tailored strategies.

Position is 10 months, 182 days, 6 hours/day, Monday-Thursday, with bilingual preference. Employment is tied to the ESP salary scale; requires an associate degree and computer literacy. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Passing score on the Para Pro Test or other state approved assessment program or 48 college credits.
• Associate Degree.
• Willingness to accept direction and cooperate with all staff.
• Prefer prior experience with working with children in a school or similar setting.
• Physical requirements include mobility, lifting up to 75 pounds with assistance, and stairs.
• Ability to use Assistive Technology and Google Meet/Classroom platforms, in person and virtually.
• Computer literate and able to learn district policies and procedures.
• Bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of a certified teacher, prepare for classroom instructional events per student IEP.
• Assist in implementing strategies and interventions and reinforce skills.
• Provide positive role models and respect for students as individuals.
• Support students in academics, social skills, self-care, and vocational tasks.
• Assist with behavior management and contribute to safety plans.
• Use Google Meet and Google Classroom and related online platforms.
• Participate in onboarding and apply IEP, district policies, and procedures.
