Job summary

Spring ISD Clark Elementary in Houston, TX seeks a Bilingual Pre-Kindergarten Aide to support the teacher and bilingual students. The role involves assisting with lesson plans, classroom setup, materials, and translations as needed.

Requires a HS diploma, 48 college hours, two-year experience preferred, and Educational Aide Certification with bilingual proficiency. Position is full-time, on-site at Clark Elementary, reporting to the Campus Principal.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma and Educational Aide Certification required.
• Two years of college coursework (48 hours) required.
• Bilingual; Spanish reading/writing/speaking required.
• Must pass NCLB tests in Reading/Writing/Math after hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher in implementing lesson plans.
• Help maintain neat and orderly classroom.
• Assist teacher in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays.
• Asst teacher with maintenance of classroom equipment, student files and records.
• Assist teacher in conferring with parents for evaluating student progress and translations when needed.
• Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teacher when PK teacher is absent.
• Participate in staff development and faculty meetings as assigned.
