Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 60 college credits required.
• Demonstrate ethical behavior and ability to work well with children.
• General knowledge of office equipment and computer literacy.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Uphold and enforce school rules and policies.
• Assist teacher in preparing instructional materials and displays.
• Work with students individually or in small groups as directed.
• Assist with administration and scoring of tests and assignments.
• Supervise students during the school day in and out of class.
• Inform teacher of any special needs or problems.
• Maintain neat and orderly classroom and assist with inventory and equipment.
• Assist in keeping administrative records and reports.
• Participate in staff development and meetings.
• Provide orientation to substitute teachers and perform other duties as needed.
