Job summary

LG Electronics is seeking a transportation planning specialist to negotiate rates, optimize logistics, and enhance service metrics. The role involves cross-functional collaboration with Sales, 3PLs, carriers, and customers to ensure efficient, cost-effective transport operations.

Candidates should have 5+ years in production planning and strong knowledge of truckload and LTL transport, with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and related TMS/WMS/YMS tools.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in production planning operations.
• Extensive knowledge of the transportation industry with truckload/LTL experience and contract review exposure.
• MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word proficiency; TMS/WMS/YMS experience a plus.
• Bilingual in English and Korean required.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate transportation rates and contract terms for LG.
• Support cost efficiency and service metrics improvement across operations.
• Monitor and manage overall health of operations.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, 3PL, carriers, and customers.
• Review performance and implement corrective action plans; communicate with carriers daily.
• Negotiate transportation terms and conditions for LG (repeat point).

Responsibilities

• Negotiations for better transportation rates and also negotiations for better contract terms and conditions for LG is required
• The activities support for better cost efficiency & increase service metrics.
• Continuously thrive for better way to monitor and manage health level of all aspects of operations
• Works cross functional with Sales, 3PL,carriers and customers.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience in production planning operations preferred
• Extensive knowledge within the transportation industry. Must have truckload , LTL transportation management experience & transportation contract review for terms & conditions experience.
• MS Excel, Powerpoint, Word skills needed. TMS, WMS, YMS experience a plus.
• Bilingual (English and Korean) required
