Job Summary:

We are seeking a Bilingual Planning & Safety Coordinator to support our logistics and fleet operations in Dallas, Texas. This entry-level role (1–2 years of experience) is ideal for someone highly organized, analytical, and committed to safety and efficiency. The coordinator will assist in optimizing route planning, monitoring vehicle safety and weight compliance, and supporting supervisors and sales reps in field operations. This role requires the ability to travel between Dallas and Houston as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Route & Distribution Planning:

  • Assist in developing and adjusting delivery routes to ensure efficient coverage and cost-effectiveness.
  • Support sales reps and supervisors with territory planning, route adjustments, and service optimization.
  • Monitor route performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.

Safety & Compliance:

  • Conduct vehicle safety checks and ensure all units comply with DOT and company standards.
  • Monitor truck loading practices to prevent overweight violations.
  • Assist in accident reporting, insurance claims, and coordination with insurance providers.
  • Maintain vehicle insurance records and ensure proper coverage is active at all times.

Fleet & Vehicle Oversight:

  • Keep an up-to-date inventory of vehicles, including condition, location, and service schedules.
  • Coordinate routine maintenance and repairs with the internal maintenance team or vendors.
  • Track vehicle performance and fuel usage to support cost reduction strategies.

Customer & Territory Support:

  • Support the onboarding of new customers by integrating them into optimized delivery routes.
  • Help evaluate customer proximity and density to align route assignments with growth opportunities.

Operational Reporting:

  • Use SAP and other systems to track safety incidents, vehicle data, and route analytics.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports on route efficiency, vehicle safety, and operational KPIs.
  • Provide recommendations based on data to improve planning, safety, and fleet performance.

Qualifications:

  • 1–2 years of experience in logistics, safety, or operations coordination.
  • Understanding of route planning, fleet logistics, and vehicle safety standards.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (required).
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is a plus.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel regularly between Dallas and Houston as needed.
