Job summary

Responsibilities

• Promotes the facility mission, vision and values by effectively communicating them to others.
• Able to perform venous, arterial, capillary draws on adult and pediatric/neonatal patients as per procedure and without supervision.
• Identifies patients and labels all tubes, as per policy, without mislabeling.
• Draws the correct amount and in the correct tubes/preserves specimens as needed to minimize redraws.
• Collect specimens according to established procedures including drug screens, biometric screening and insurance exams.
• Research test/client information and confirm and verify all written and electronic orders using lab systems and approved tools.
• Navigate a computer and accurately enter data.
• Obtain identification and billing information and collect payments when required, following policies.
