Job summary

Software Placement Group, SPG is seeking a Spanish-speaking phlebotomist with geriatric experience for a contracted assignment in Asheville, NC. The role focuses on specimen collection operations, accurate labeling, and compliant handling in a fast-paced clinical setting.

The position is full-time, on-site for approximately three months with benefits available; requires phlebotomy certification and Spanish language fluency, and prior venipuncture experience in healthcare.

Qualifications

• Must speak Spanish.
• Geriatric care experience required.
• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state of employment.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Minimum 2 years of experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens accurately.
• Update patient information as needed.
• Collect and store specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process to patients as required.
• Demonstrate technique using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
• Follow physicians' orders and ensure 100% accuracy of requisitions.
• Package specimens for transport and store at required temperatures.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations.
