Job summary

Family First Health in York, PA is seeking a Bilingual Pharmacy Technician. The role requires knowledge of medical terminology, computer proficiency, and a friendly, customer-service oriented approach.

You will handle prescription processing, patient interactions, and support the pharmacist. Requirements include PA Pharmacy Technician Registration, a high school diploma or GED, and completion of a board-approved technician program.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Working knowledge of pharmacy operations or willingness to learn.
• PA Pharmacy Technician Registration required or in process.
• PTCB certification preferred; if not certified, ability to obtain within timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient prescriptions by selecting drug, form, strength and quantity.
• Count and package medications into appropriate containers with correct labels.
• Enter prescription details into the pharmacy database and verify information.
• Educate patients on medication use, pharmacy costs, and insurance basics.
• Assist patients and handle phone inquiries with courteous service.
