Family First Health on George Street in York, PA is seeking a Bilingual Pharmacy Technician for a full-time position. The candidate should understand medical terminology and be computer proficient, with excellent customer service skills.

Essential duties include preparing prescriptions, entering prescription data, assisting patients with insurance and pricing, and managing inventory in a fast-paced pharmacy team environment.

Qualifications

• Current Pennsylvania Pharmacy Technician Registration
• High School Diploma or GED
• Board-approved Pharmacy Technician Training program completed
• PTCB Certification preferred; ability to obtain if not certified
• Pharmacy/retail or customer service experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient prescriptions: select drug, form, strength and quantity; count pills and package; apply labels with instructions and expiry dates.
• Receive prescription requests; verify information; enter details into pharmacy database; confirm approvals.
• Provide patient/customer care: educate on medication use; assist with cost; answer calls; refer to pharmacist for complex questions.
• Price prescriptions; understand insurance coverage; process insurance claims; apply 340B pricing when applicable.
• Manage inventory and storage: track stock, check expiry dates, counts for controlled substances; maintain proper storage conditions.
