Job summary

Salud Medical Center in Woodburn, OR, is seeking a Bilingual Pharmacy Cashier to support patient access to medications and services. The role involves clerical, customer service, and medication support to ensure accurate, timely, and safe pharmacy operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• This job will require a pre-employment drug screen after a conditional offer.
• Bilingual Differential Compensation with ALTA score 9.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) speaking skills required at a level 9.
• Effective verbal and listening communication with a customer-oriented approach.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Administrative tasks: answering phones, filing, faxing, scanning, copying.
• Team collaboration in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy workflows.
• Basic proficiency with computer systems including Microsoft Office preferred.
• Basic knowledge of at least one pharmacy software system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer the phone and transfer calls as needed.
• Enter patient data and billing information in the system.
• Deliver prescriptions to patients and collect payment and signature.
• Coordinate prescription counseling with Pharmacist as needed.
• Monitor stock levels and place restocking orders.
• Verify orders and apply stickers to items on shelves.
• Check expiration dates on stocked drugs.
• Return or discard unpicked prescriptions and document reverse billing.
• Perform duties aligned with TJC and HRSA requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
