Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish speaking skills preferred at high level.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy workflows is advantageous.
• Ability to perform administrative tasks and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with phones, filing, faxing, scanning and data entry is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Answers the phone and handles inquiries or transfers calls to staff.
• Enters patient data, billing info, insurance, allergies, doctors and diagnoses in the system.
• Delivers prescriptions and collects payment and signatures from patients.
• Coordinates prescription counseling with the Pharmacist as needed.
• Maintains stock levels and places orders for restocking when inventory is low.
• Verifies orders and applies labeling and shelf placement.
• Checks drug expiration dates and manages returns or discard of unpicked prescriptions.
• Performs duties aligned with quality and safety standards.
