Job summary

Elmm Law Group in Phoenix seeks a bilingual (English/Spanish) Legal Assistant to support clients, attorneys, and staff from intake to case closure. The role emphasizes an excellent client experience, organization, and the ability to move cases forward in a fast-paced personal injury practice.

The position is full-time, in-office, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with compensation ranging from $20 to $24 per hour. Experience with CASEpeer and medical records is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish (required), with the ability to speak and write comfortably with clients in both languages.
• At least 1 year of experience at a personal injury law firm (required).
• A client-first mindset and real care for people going through a hard time after an injury.
• Familiarity with medical records, insurance claims, and how a personal injury case moves from start to finish.
• Comfortable juggling a wide variety of tasks and shifting priorities throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Own the client experience from beginning to end, from the first call to the close of the case, so every client feels informed, cared for, and confident in our firm.
• Communicate with clients in English and Spanish by phone, text, and email, answering questions and keeping them updated on their cases.
• Keep cases moving by following up with clients, medical providers, and insurance adjusters so nothing sits waiting.
• Request and organize medical records, bills, police reports, and other case documents.
• Translate for Spanish-speaking clients on calls, in meetings, and with paperwork.
• Support attorneys and case managers with day-to-day case needs and document prep.
• Help with intake, phones, and front desk coverage so every new client gets a great first experience.
• Keep case notes, documents, and tasks current in our case management system.
• Look for ways to improve the client experience, move cases faster, and help the firm grow.
• Assist with special projects and general office needs such as scanning, mail, and filing.
