Requirements

1. Six months of work experience in a retail or customer service environment preferred.
2. Must be able to get along with co-workers and work effectively in a team environment.
3. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Schedules are prepared based on business need and subject to change at any time.
4. High school diploma, high school equivalency, or currently attending high school.
5. At least 18 years of age.
6. Must successfully pass background investigation according to company policy.
7. Must be bilingual in English and Spanish.

Job Description

Under immediate direction, provides exceptional customer service involving receipt and payment of cash in a high-volume sales environment. Responsibilities include:

1. Following established policies in accordance with the bank and supervisor’s direction.
2. Achieving monthly new account production targets as assigned by upper management.
3. Processing deposits and payouts accurately, balancing daily transactions.
4. Receiving cash and checks, verifying amounts, and checking check endorsements.
5. Examining cash to guard against counterfeit checks and identification.
6. Entering transactions into the computer and issuing receipts.
7. Selling and preparing money orders, cashier's checks, bank wires, bonds, travelers' checks, and certificates of deposit.
8. Processing Western Union wires and cash advances.
9. Cross-selling bank services and products.
10. Providing services to a diverse customer base, including a large Spanish-speaking population.
11. Performing additional tasks as requested by supervisors.

Environmental and Physical Requirements

1. Standing or walking for extended periods depending on branch location.
2. Ability to work in a high-volume, stressful, and noisy environment.
3. Operating a computer and office machinery.
4. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
