Job summary

Start Early in Beach Park, IL seeks a Preschool Certified Teacher (PEL) to develop developmentally appropriate lesson plans for 3–5 year olds and manage daily classroom activities. You’ll work with the Education Coordinator to align with Head Start/Preschool for All standards, guiding staff and maintaining confidential binders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 30 hours in ECE or Master’s degree with 30 hours in ECE required/preferred.
• Professional Educator License (PEL) with ECE endorsement and Illinois Gateways ECE Credential Level 5 preferred.
• Minimum two years of experience in an early childhood setting; Head Start/Preschool for All knowledge a plus.

• Create lesson plans grounded in Creative Curriculum and ECERS guidelines.
• Supervise Teacher Assistant and lead classroom team meetings.
